Our Story

A tribute to Nina

Hi, I'm Audrey, the owner of Nina's Bakery.

Nina Sofi is my husband Matías' godmother back in Chile, and she is the inspiration behind the name and the recipe that started all of this.

Matías had always talked about how special Nina's alfajores were. When she found out we wanted to start making them here in Madison, she shared the recipe she had perfected over decades and trusted us with something that meant a lot to her.

That recipe became the beginning of Nina's Bakery.

For over a year now, I've been making every alfajor myself with a lot of care, patience, and dedication. Since then, I've made and sold more than 1,000 alfajores, and seeing people enjoy something that started from such a special family recipe has been incredibly meaningful to me.

I hope to keep growing Nina's Bakery and continue bringing a little sweetness to everyone who tries the alfajores I make with so much love and care.
